Improv for Teachers: 3-Day Intensive

Educators are, at heart, skilled improvisors, balancing structure and spontaneity in order to generate authentic moments of learning. In this three-day intensive, we’ll explore improv exercises that can be applied in the classroom and beyond to bolster confidence, participation, enthusiasm, and creativity, while fostering a more welcoming, joyful, and supportive learning community. By embracing an improvisational mindset, we’ll build skills to navigate the unpredictable, improving our ability to think on our feet, adapt in the moment, and turn mistakes into opportunities.

This course is open to educators, teaching artists, and facilitators working with children, teens, or adults across all subject areas. Open to participants with any level of improv experience, including none at all.

Following completion of this intensive, participants will receive a written breakdown of games and exercises, as well as a list of resources for further enrichment.
